There is a great site here in California called WeConnect . It was put together by our former first lady, Maria Shriver. The site lists government agencies offering assistance in an easy to navigate format.

You can find out if you qualify for state programs, find sources for affordable health care, use CalFresh to get up to $300 a month on groceries and find low cost auto insurance for good drivers.

These programs are supported by The California Endowment which believes that good health happens in neighborhoods, schools and with prevention. the Intuit Financial Freedom Foundation directs programs and promotes financial literacy and teaches personal finance and small business management.

La Opinión, the leading Spanish-language daily newspaper is also a partner of WeConnect.

There are helpful resources for California families at Share the resources in your state and I will post them so more can benefit.
