Happy New Year to all of my wonderful readers. I can’t tell you how much your support has meant to me over the last year. For me, 2009 might be summed up with “when it rains it pours”. My trials pale in comparison to many but I have entered the season of kids almost grown and parents needing care. At one point in 2009, we had 3 out of 4 parents in the hospital at the same time!
Slightly new direction for 2010 –
I was listening to the announcements in church before Thanksgiving and they were getting us geared up for of the wonderful projects we were participating in like “Boxes of Love” , “Angel Tree Ministries” gifts for senior citizens and shut- ins, increasing the contributions to the food pantry, etc. and I thought “Lord, so many people are hurting and just trying to survive, how can we collectively increase our giving?’
From that question, I am going to be committed to finding more ways to save and finding more ways to give a little. Imagine an army of More With Less Today readers who can send $5.00 or $10.00 to someone who is hurting or to a cause that touches our hearts.
This blog will help you to find more ways to save so that you too may be able to “give a little more” to those things that you care about, without cutting in to your exisiting funds.
My Mom is famous for “sending a few dollars” to those in need. I used to think, “what could that do?” but now I see her lifetime of faithfulness and how much she has been blessed through her generous spirit.
So stay tuned for more ways to save and featured stories where collectively giving a little could add up to a lot for someone in need.
I treasure your companionship on this journey. Blessings for 2010. I welcome your thoughts too, [email protected]
