Before ordering from online catalogs or even before going to a store to make a purchase, I google coupons for that company. Just this week I found a “10% off purchase” coupon that I plan to use for aiderondack chairs at CostPlus. Sometimes I find codes for free shipping on items. Hey, it only takes a few minutes, and it’s fun to see what you can find!

Great ideas — like Kay, I also look for coupons for online retailers before placing the order. I’ve received anywhere from 5% to 30% off using this tip!
