Pay Your Age at Starwood Hotels- the Older You Are, the Less You Pay!

by Lori. LAST UPDATED ON

The Starwood Hotel chain has a money-saving promotion called “Pay Your Birth Year.” The older you are, the more you save! Young people step aside. Find an older friend to make your reservation!

Here is how this works; you pay the going rate for the first night (which varies by property) and on the second night and in some cases, the third night too, you only pay the rate of the year that you were born.

Here is how this would work for me in the Los Angeles area:

Stay at the Westin LA Airport and pay $199 the first night and I would pay $57 for nights 2 and 3.

Stay at the Four Points Westin inĀ  Los Angeles and pay $179 the first night and I would pay $57 for nights 2 and 3.

So now you know, I was born in 1957. See how this works? If you were born in the 40′s or 30′s, woo hoo! For a 3 night stay in a $200 a night hotel, my daily cost would average $100 a night and I would save about $300!

The Starwood hotel chain includes Sheraton, Westin, W Hotels, Meridian, Four Points,St. Regis, and Element hotels with locations in the United States, Canada, Caribbean, and the Netherland Antilles.

Here is the link to find a participating hotel. Book online, or from the US and Canada call (877) 762-0106 and use promo code NBR. This offer is valid at participating hotels for stays before December 31, 2012.

Share this with anyone who is planning a trip. Old people rule!
