Because Spotify plays the music live, you don’t wait for downloads or buffering, and there is no space taken up in your hard drive, other than for the app itself. I first started using Spotify last year, and loved it so much that I stopped using iTunes completely and upgraded to Spotify Premium for only $9.99 a month (the cost of only one album) and now listen to Spotify commercial free, on my computer and my phone virtually every day. I think the cost is well worth it, but if you still want to own your music with iTunes, Spotify is a great way to test out albums and tracks to see if you want to purchase them.
