This weekend is a great time to start your garden. Both Home Depot and Lowes will have Bonnie Herb & Vegetables on sale as low as $1.50 for a 4″ pot in some regions.
Check your Home Depot and Lowe’s sales flyers and then print out the best price and bring the competitors ad to your store and ask them to price match. Take advantage of the sale prices for this weekend (Earth Day sales). I have done this with success at Home Depot but have not tried it personally at Lowe’s. It is usually up the store manager’s discretion.
Home Depot has a great return policy on plants and trees. Keep your receipts from your Home Depot plants and if they die in one year, you can return them. I always feel sheepish when I have done this, but they take them back, no questions asked!
Lowe’s will have Premium Mulch 2-Cubic Feer bags in brown, black or red for only $2.50.
