I’m not a photographer by any means but capturing the smiles of my family in photographs is one of my favorite things to do. This post is sponsored by Orajel™ Kids however all opinions are my own.
From those first toothless smiles to the awkward years of grown up teeth coming in, every smile is perfection I want to remember always. With Halloween just behind us, Thanksgiving coming up, and Christmas soon after my camera is working overtime most weeks. What’s as important to me as capturing those smiles on camera is taking care of those smiles. Orajel™ Kids knows the importance of taking care of those smiles. We’re ready for capturing holiday smiles and Smilestones that come with them.
Capturing Holiday Smiles
Sometimes with little ones it’s hard to keep them sitting still long enough to take a photo and sometimes the photo we do capture isn’t the one we hope for. As Halloween approached all three of the little boys were so excited about their costumes. However when Halloween afternoon came our middle little wanted no part of getting into his costume. There were many tears and after several minutes of frustration I decided to just give up. He could trick-or-treat in his regular clothes, he is after all 2. It needed to be fun for him too and if I forced the costume on him it would not be fun for anyone. So, everyone else got ready and I took photos. Big sister dressed as Cruella De Vil and we had 2 (instead of 3) of the 101 Dalmatian puppies.
Of course just about the time we were ready to head out the door our 3rd puppy decided he wanted his costume on too. So, we pressed pause (or maybe reset) and got him in costume and off we went. Excuse the photo quality. It was cold and drizzling rain that night.
This is not the first time we’ve had a child decide not to dress up for Halloween after being excited for weeks. It probably won’t be the last. We make the best of it and capture the smiles and the tears because the are all memories we cherish.
This time of year is filled with special moments for us. My husband celebrated his birthday just before Halloween, our son last week, Thanksgiving is just around the corner, then Christmas and New Years followed by the 3 littles turning another year older. I’ve got us covered with the camera and Orajel Kids has us covered with healthy smiles. They sent us some great products to help keep our sweet smiles looking their best like Baby Orajel™ Nighttime teething gel, Orajel™ Thomas & Friends™ Fluoride-Free Training Toothpaste, and Orajel™ Bubble Guppies™ Brush and Fluoride Toothpaste. They also sent a fun new toothbrush. We love the Orajel Kids products and so do our boys. I know that with a good oral health routine that includes Orajel Kids, our little smiles will shine in all our holiday photos.
