Turkey Lettuce Wraps - How To Make A Low Carb Lunch

These turkey lettuce wraps taste just as wonderful with chicken too. Learn how to make flavorful lettuce wraps for your low carb lunch.
  • 1.5 lbs Ground Turkey or Chicken
  • 2 TBS Olive oil
  • 1.5 Cups Chopped Mushrooms
  • 4 Cloves of Chopped Garlic
  • 1 Cup Chopped Carrots
  • ¼ Cup Chopped Green Onions
  • ¼ Cup Sesame Oil
  • 1 TBS Dijon Mustard
  • 1 TBS Honey
  • 1 TBS Rice Wine Vinegar
  • 1 TBS Soy Sauce or Tamari if Gluten Free
  • 1 TSP Red Curry Paste
  • Sesame Seeds
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  1. Heat olive oil in skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add in carrots and sauté for about 5 minutes.
  3. Add in mushrooms and sauté for another 5 minutes then add in garlic.
  4. At this point, the vegetables should be tender, add in ground turkey, break apart the turkey/chicken with a wooden spoon and mix the ingredients.
  5. While the turkey or chicken cooks add the sesame oil, rice wine vinegar, dijon mustard, honey, soy sauce, and Thai red curry paste into a bowl and whisk together.
  6. Pour sauce over ground turkey or chicken and mix well, and continue cooking until meat is completely browned.
  7. Once turkey/chicken filling is done mix in green onions and sesame seeds.
  8. Rinse and dry lettuce leaves, fill lettuce cup with a spoonful of filling, top with Siracha for extra spice and enjoy!
