Teacher Appreciation Deals, Freebies & Discounts for 2017

This week is Teacher Appreciation Week with Teacher Appreciation Day on May 9th.

I’m so proud of my daughter who is a special education teacher. I hear first hand how she is making a difference every day and pouring herself into the children she adores. My Dad, now in heaven, was a teacher for decades. I know he would be bursting with pride to see his grand-daughter continuing his legacy.

As the daughter of a teacher, so I know firsthand the sacrifices they make and how often they dip into their own pockets to buy supplies for the classroom.

If you are thinking of buying a teacher appreciation gift, I asked my daughter what she would want and she said a gift card from Target or Walmart. Then she could use it for classroom supplies or for something personal.

A big thank you to Mary from Mission to Save for helping us to compile this awesome list!

**According to a recent study, teachers spent an average of $398 out of their own pocket on supplies for the classroom. Many parents and parent organizations are already trying to offset this, but if you can donate supplies or remember the teacher with a gift card for supplies, I am sure it would really be appreciated!
