Easy Christmas Cookie Recipe with 5 Ingredients

One of my favorite holiday traditions is baking cookies to give as gifts to my mailman, hairdresser, teachers, office staff as well as to friends and family.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 box (15.25 oz) white cake mix
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2/3 cup sprinkles
  • Ziploc bags (or piping bags)

Instructions
 

  • Mix cake mix, oil, eggs, and vanilla together in a bowl.
  • The dough will be stiff but continue to mix until well blended. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 350 and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Shape dough into tablespoon-size dough balls, I use a 1 tablespoon portion scoop and dip into sprinkles. Use a spoon to toss the dough in the sprinkles and coat all sides.
  • Place dough onto the prepared baking sheet, 2″ apart. Bake 9-11 minutes or until centers are set. Let cool completely.
  • Place 1/2 cup white chocolate or candy melts into a microwave-safe container and microwave according to package directions.
  • Place melted chocolate into a baggie, snip the corner and pipe white trees onto half of the cookies.
  • Refrigerate for 15 minutes or until chocolate is firm.
