One of my favorite holiday traditions is baking cookies to give as gifts to my mailman, hairdresser,  teachers, office staff as well as to friends and family.
Ready to bake Christmas cookies? Try our easy recipe for 5 Ingredient Christmas Cookies - Make Them With a Cake Mix. See how to make and take them!
These 5 Ingredient Christmas cookies are my tradition – they are so moist and tender. You make them with a cake mix. They are easy to make and you can do so many variations. My kids and I have been making them for years.
To package holiday cookies so that they stay fresh and don’t get crushed, I use Ziploc® brand products. I love their holiday-themed containers. No wrapping is needed and because they are very affordable you can give them away. No more worrying about getting that plate or container back. They are also reusable so even the recipient can use them again.

Ziploc® Brand Twist ‘N Loc® containers and Ziploc® Brand holiday square containers are great for packaging cookies for mailing too. If you send cookies to school with your kids, the Ziploc® containers transport nicely. You can also package them individually in Ziploc® Brand sandwich bags or snack bags. Make too many cookies? Freeze your cookies to enjoy later in Ziploc® Brand quart or gallon easy open tab bags or slider bags.

Let’s get baking!

5 Ingredient Christmas Cookies

Recipe:
1 box (15.25 oz) white cake mix
1/3 cup vegetable oil
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
2/3 cup sprinkles
Ziploc® brand Easy Open Tab sandwich bags

Directions:
Mix cake mix, oil, eggs, and vanilla together in a bowl.

The dough will be stiff but continue to mix until well blended. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Preheat oven to 350 and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Shape dough into tablespoon size dough balls, I use a 1 tablespoon portion scoop and dip into sprinkles. Use a spoon to toss the dough in the sprinkles and coat all sides.

Place dough onto prepared baking sheet, 2″ apart. Bake 9-11 minutes or until centers are set. Let cool completely.

Place 1/2 cup white chocolate or candy melts into a microwave safe container and microwave according to package directions.
Place melted chocolate into a Ziploc® brand Easy Open Tab bag, snip the corner and pipe white trees onto half of the cookies. Refrigerate for 15 minutes or until chocolate is firm.

Package cookies in Ziploc® brand Holiday round containers.

Makes 3 dozen.

Christmas just wouldn’t be the same without baking homemade treats. Ziploc® brand products make it easy to both gift them to friends and keep them fresh at home. Be sure and pick up the adorable holiday-themed selection at Walmart.

I made boxed cake mix cookies this past weekend for the first time ever. My kids flipped over them. My son went on and on about the devils food cake with dark choc chips. He does not eat sweets often so I was genuinely surprised! I love how easy and simple they are! Will have to try this one next!!
