I usually make this around the holidays to share with friends, neighbors, and family. It’s easy and fudgy! A perfect chocolate cookie for Christmas.

Ingredients for Chocolate Crinkle Cookie

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons instant espresso granules
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup granulated sugar, divided
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar

Recipe Instructions for Chocolate Crinkle Cookies

Step #1. Preheat oven to 325°F
Step #2. In a large bowl, stir together flour, cocoa, baking powder, salt, and baking soda.
Step #3. In a medium bowl, whisk eggs, brown sugar, melted butter, espresso granules, vanilla, and 1/2 cup sugar.
Step #4. Slowly stir in flour mixture into the large bowl with the egg mixture
Step #5. Cover and chill dough in the fridge for 1 hour.
Step #6. While waiting for the dough to chill, take out two small bowls and fill one with powdered sugar and the other with regular sugar.
Step #7. Shape chilled dough into balls and roll in regular sugar and then into the powdered sugar and place on the cookie sheet.
Step #8. Bake for 11-12 minutes. Serve and enjoy!
