Chocolate Crinkle Cookie Recipe
If you are looking for a new cookie recipe for a holiday cookie exchange, leaving them out for Santa and his reindeer, giving them to friends and family or want to enjoy them yourself, these easy Chocolate Crinkle Cookies are easy to make and are so pretty too!
Chocolate Crinkle Cookie Ingredients
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup unsweetened cocoa
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
3 large eggs
1 cup packed light brown sugar
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
2 tablespoons instant espresso granules
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup granulated sugar, divided
1/2 cup powdered sugar
Chocolate Crinkle Cookie Instructions
Preheat oven to 325°F
In a large bowl, stir together flour, cocoa, baking powder, salt, and baking soda
In a medium bowl, whisk eggs, brown sugar, melted butter, espresso granules, vanilla, and 1/2 cup sugar
Slowly stir in flour mixture into the large bowl with the egg mixture
Cover and chill dough in the fridge for 1 hour
While waiting for dough to chill, take out two small bowls and fill one with powdered sugar and the other with regular sugar
Shape chilled dough into balls and roll in regular sugar and then into the powdered sugar and place on cookie sheet
Bake for 11-12 minutes
These delicious cookies are also great to give. Just put in a Cello Bag and tie with a ribbon for a thoughtful gift.
