One of my favorite money-saving sources is All You Magazine. Today the have a features story on How to Make Extra Money Dog Sitting. If you are a dog lover and have the time, this could be a nice side income for you. If you need to board your dog, you may want to check out the site to find a dog lover to watch your pet.

You can read the article and find the contact information here:

The website DogVacay.com, matches dog owners with dog “babysitters.” Qualified hosts set their own prices and watch a pet for the weekend (or during the week based on their schedule). The site, which launched a year ago, says it has paid more than $2 million to its hosts in the past year, some of whom make $1,000 a month from their pet-sitting duties.

If you’re someone who regularly boards your pet, using Dog Vacay instead could be a big money-saver: According to the site, pet parents spend an average of $275 a year on boarding alone — not including extra treats and baths, which can add an additional $5 to $20 per day. Dog Vacay rates start at $15 a night, all reservations include complimentary insurance and anxious pet owners can even schedule meet-and-greets with hosts beforehand.

To get started, create an account and become a host here.
