The Clement Hotel – All Inclusive Luxury in Palo Alto, CA

I enjoyed a hosted stay at The Clement Hotel. All opinions are genuinely my own.

My husband Art and I spent time apart over the last few months.  A family health emergency kept me flying back and forth from the west coast to the east coast. We had been wanting to get away and reconnect and our stay at The Clement Hotel was just what we needed. We were so spoiled that Art said: “what if we lock the door and tell them we are never checking out.” It was that special.

The Clement Hotel

The Clement Hotel is an all-inclusive luxury hotel with only 23 one-bedroom suites located in Palo Alto, CA. I’m told that several of the rooms can be configured into two-bedroom suites or tandem rooms to accommodate families and groups. The hotel is within walking distance to Stanford University.

We didn’t really understand the concept of a luxury all-inclusive hotel at first but the more we experienced it, the more we came to love it. Art tried to tip the valet when we arrived and he would not accept the tip. All-inclusive at The Clement means everything is included- meals, drinks including alcohol, room service, honor bar, parking, internet, and even the 5% service charge – everything. Once you check-in, you will not need your wallet.

But the best part about staying at The Clement Hotel is the people who work there. They genuinely want to please you and take care of you. The service is prompt, helpful and so genuine. When we did check out, we felt like hugging everyone.

concierge Palo Alto

When you arrive, you will be greeted by a concierge who will give you a tour and make sure that you have everything you need to make your stay special. We learned that the owner of the hotel, Clement Chen III, is also a guitar aficionado and collector. He has loaner guitars for those who play!

We took a tour of the hotel with a glass of Cabernet in hand. Guests fill out a questionnaire ahead of time so they already know what you like. They have a beautiful living room with a stone fireplace, fire pits on an outdoor terrace, a roof-top deck with a swimming pool, whirlpool, and private cabanas, and a meeting room which can also be used for private dining.

Our suite included a separate living room with a 65″ Samsung smart TV.

Nosy me explored every nook and cranny of our suite. Everything was first class from the Stearns and Foster mattress, Frette towels and robes, Matouk Linens, Nespresso Vertuoline coffee maker to the Toto smart toilet with a heated seat. I can tell you that I am spoiled now.

The luxurious bathroom had a big soaking tub (heavenly), two sinks, a separate walk-in shower with a rain head shower head and a television built into the mirror. That was pretty cool to see!

There were little touches everywhere from stationery with my name on it to beautiful toiletries from 80 Acres, and even a little welcome sign made in the sand.

At night someone came by with a cart full of snacks which included warm delicious cookies. When we got home, we were joking that we really missed that cart full of treats outside our door.

chefs at The Clement Hotel

The chefs are ready to cook for you. You can also watch them at work! Everything we ate was made from the freshest ingredients. There is no need to eat any meals outside of the hotel!

When I was getting ready to leave, they were making a big pot of a fragrant soup. I enjoyed watching the chefs at work in the open kitchen.

24 hour refrigerator The Clement Hotel

In the kitchen, you can help yourself anytime to the goodies kept stocked in the refrigerator. It is open 24 hours a day and has everything from meals to Tin Pot Creamery ice cream- a local favorite. It is so good!

The rooftop has a heated pool with private cabanas and it is open year-round. You’ll also enjoy a whirlpool and gas-powered firepits. It is the perfect spot to enjoy one of the delicious wines they serve.

If you have the opportunity to stay at The Clement, be sure to tell me about your visit. We cannot wait to go back!

I highly recommend booking a stay at The Clement Hotel for a special occasion such as a milestone birthday or anniversary. I also recommend spending as much time as possible in the hotel,  unwinding, enjoying the delicious food and drinks and enjoying all of their perks.  Children under age 12 stay free with an adult and pets up to 80 lbs are accepted at no additional charge.
