Occasionally, some franchise owners do not honor corporate discounts which can lead to frustration. Call ahead and ask before you head out. I hope you enjoy this list and will share it!

Never be embarrassed to ask for your discount! Why pay full price when you don’t need to? My girlfriend said she would never ask for a senior discount because ” it would ruin her day.” I would rather have the extra money in my pocket, how about you?

Last weekend, both my husband and I saved almost $10 on our movie tickets, yeah us! He said, “Now I can afford a snack!” Love that guy.

good information for someone like me that just turned old enough
to be able to get senior discounts.

Senior Discounts: add Outback 15% with AARP card

pat hawkins

I think Publix just gives a 5% discount not 15%, at least here in Al.

thanks Pat. I am going to call their HQ and have them give me an update. I appreciate you letting me know!

I am pretty sure AMC Movies is 65. not 55+

thank you Laurie- I am going to call and verify this and will update the post as needed.

Publix in Florida doesn’t offer any senior discount.

Steve T.

Hi Laurie:

Thanks for all the work.
I have a pet peeve with AMC movie theaters. The only one that charges an insane $11.00 as a supposed
Senior Discount mid week afternoon. Their evening prices are $13.69 and one dollar less for seniors with is
about 7 percent on all their non Imax films.

To say ‘up to 30%) is like inciting seniors to flock to them and offer them praise for something that really does not
exist. Daytime is a whopping 12%. $11 instead of $12.50. Whereas other chains like Cinemark are about $7 any
daytime for seniors.

AMC does do one thing right. Prior to NOON tickets are $6.99 wow…. thumbs up. So that is when we go.
OH, AMC 16 Emeryville, CA. Maybe its 30% elsewhere.

IF you can confirm 30% exists somewhere maybe you can list them as 7% to 30%

Steve T.

My local Fuddruckers (Concord, CA) offers 10% of ANY order. Perhaps others limit the discount to ‘platters.
Have never seen any menu reference here to Senior Platters. Also, I combine this with 20% off using their Costco
discounted gift card for $30 off every time I visit.

Eileen B

Note: You have United Airlines listed twice. Thank you for searching out all these discounts for us seniors. I appreciate it very much.

thanks so much! I need my savvy readers to keep this list great!

Kroger no longer offer discounts to Seniors.

We just ask Verizon and they do not do the senior discount any longer.

Publix in Stuart Florida does not offer senior discount.

Just so you know the lifetime discount card at the National Park Service is going up to $80 from $10. Al how already have a card wont be affected. I’m mot sure the exact date it will go up, but I know it will be soon. I already have my card.

I love to print these lists out and put them in the cards, when my friends have 50th, 60th, etc. birthday parties. Usually, the host says: no gifts, or gag gifts only. This tends to bring a smile and offer a practical use. You’d be surprised at the number of Boomers who don’t know they are eligible at 55 or 60, for discounts.

I love this idea. Thanks for sharing it Cindy!
