Make these beautiful pressed flower bookmarks for an inexpensive and lovely gift. You can include them with a book to personalize your gift. These would also make a nice end-of-year teacher gift, or you can make some for your book club or bible study!
Keep reading to learn that each pressed flower bookmark costs under $2.
You can have older kids help make these one-of-a-kind bookmarks, too; no hot glue is involved. I used just three items, and I’ve linked them below.
You can dry your own flowers the old-fashioned way, between book pages. I have done that successfully; it just takes time. I’m making three different crafts from the preserved flowers I ordered, so I wanted to try the ready-made ones I saw online. They had great reviews, and I’m pleased with them too.

Supplies I Used:
Clear bookmarks with colored tassels
What I Spent:
I was adding up roughly what I spent so you can get an idea of how affordable they are:
Pressed flowers – mine were about $22, and I have so much left over for other crafts or to make more bookmarks.
Bookmarks with tassels – 20 for under $10
Mod Podge® – under $4
Paintbrushes – under $3
I spent approximately $2 per bookmark. I divided the total by 20, which is the number of bookmarks in the package.
These are the bookmarks I used. I’m delighted with the quality. They come with a protective film on both sides that you peel off before you start your craft project.
These are the dried flowers I ordered. They are gorgeous and came packed very carefully. All were intact. I have enough leftover to make many more crafts.
You will notice four different types of flowers included in the ones I chose. For this craft, I used pink and purple ones.
Place your dried flowers on the bookmark. I put a dab of Mod-Podge down where the flower would go and then covered the flower with a layer of Mod-Podge. I probably did not need as much as I used.
I only used three flowers or pieces of greenery for each bookmark, but you certainly use more. You could also make 20 bookmarks with all the preserved flowers in the package.
I already had a package of very inexpensive paintbrushes from the Dollar Store, and they worked fine. If you don’t have any, this highly-rated set of paintbrushes is under $3.
Almost dry! The bookmarks took about 45 minutes to dry, but like I said, I probably used more Mod Podge than I needed.
They dry clear and look beautiful!
I have plenty of preserved flowers left over for a few other crafts. Stay tuned, I will be posting those soon.
