How To Make Easy Cinnamon Apple Crisp?
Step #1. Place the top oven rack in the center position and preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease an 8” x 8” baking dish or a 7” x 10” baking dish and set aside.
Step #2. Place the juicy apples in a large bowl and toss with fresh lemon juice. On top of the apples, add maple syrup, apple juice, cinnamon, allspice, thyme leaves, and salt. Toss to combine and set aside.
Step #3. Get your dry ingredients and combine them in a separate bowl. Stir until oats are thoroughly coated and all ingredients are well combined. Set aside.
Step #4. Pour the apple mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it into an even layer. Spread the topping evenly across the top in a uniform layer, as well.
Step #5. Place into a preheated oven and bake for 30 minutes. Once the top layer is nicely browned, cover the dish loosely with aluminum foil to prevent over-browning of the crumb topping. After the 30 minutes is up, continue baking for another 15-20 minutes or until the apple crisp is nice and bubbling. Remove from the oven and set aside to cool for 5-10 minutes.
Step #6. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or freshly whipped cream, if desired. Garnish with a few extra apple slices on the side. Enjoy!
