Supplies You Need for Reindeer Hot Chocolate Cones
- Cello Bags – this is the size I used 7×12. They come with twist ties and you can use the extra ones to package your Christmas cookies! I’ve also used them as piping bags to decorate my cookies with icing. Just snip off the tip
- Hot Cocoa Mix – 1/2 cup. This is the one I used, SWISS MISS Milk Chocolate Flavored Hot Cocoa Mix, but you can use any instant hot chocolate.
- Chocolate Chips – I used a little less than 1/2 cup. You can use mini-chocolate chips or any flavor.

- Mini Marshmallows – I used a little less than 1/2 cup. Don’t use regular-size marshmallows. Those will be too big.
- Red or Green PomPoms – I found mine at Dollar Tree but these are similar: Pom Balls Glitter for Craft Making and Christmas Decorations
- Glue Gun and glue sticks – This set is convenient because it comes with 30 glue sticks. You can use the excess for other DIY gifts, and decorations, or save it for next year!
- Candy Canes (use individually wrapped ones)

How to Make Reindeer Hot Chocolate Cones
#1. Place the cello bag inside a tall glass and fold down the sides over the glass.
#2. Add 1/2 cup of hot cocoa mix to the bag.
#3. Include just under 1/2 cup of chocolate chips.
#4. Add just under 1/2 cup of mini marshmallows.
#5. Gently smash one individually wrapped candy cane while keeping it in its wrapper. Once smashed, open the top and pour the contents into the cello bag.
#6. Lift the cello bag out of the glass and tap it gently to settle the mixture at the bottom.
#7. Secure the bag tightly with a twist tie.
#8. Use a pipe cleaner to wrap around the top of the cello bag for added security, bending it to resemble reindeer antlers.
#9. Attach googly eyes and a red pom-pom nose using a glue gun, but avoid gluing directly onto the cello bag to prevent melting.
