Notes
Truffles are best enjoyed when at room temperature, however, they last longer (and hold their shape better) when refrigerated.
I keep them in an airtight container in the refrigerator and just take them out a couple of minutes before serving them or gifting them.

Tips to Make the Best Boozy Chocolate Truffles
While these truffles are pretty much foolproof there are a couple of secrets that make them really shine.
- Use a good quality chocolate, the better the chocolate the better your truffles will taste
- Along that same line, use a good quality cocoa powder. Good quality cacao powder is bitter but in a delicate way which is great for coating.
- Make them ahead of time: You want to have enough time to chill the dough before shaping the truffles. Ideally, you want to also have some time after making them to chill them again for a couple of hours before serving.
