Easy Snickerdoodle Cookie Recipe

This Snickerdoodle Cookie recipe is one of our all-time favorite cookie recipes. They are easy to make, loaded with cinnamon flavor and so delicious. Kids love to make these cookies too, so be sure and let them help!

Snickerdoodle Cookie Recipe Ingredients

1 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup light brown sugar
1 egg, plus 1 yolk
1 tablespoon vanilla
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 3/4 cup flour
For the cinnamon sugar – mix together in a small bowl and set aside
1/4 cup sugar
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

Snickerdoodle Cookie Recipe  Directions

Preheat oven to 325°F
In a large bowl, use a mixer to blend butter, granulated sugar, and light brown sugar on medium speed
Add egg, yolk, vanilla, baking soda, cream of tartar, salt, and cinnamon and blend together
Slowly add in flour
Scoop dough and shape into balls, then roll ball into cinnamon sugar mixture to coat
Bake for 10 minutes
