Where to Donate Your Winter Gear to the Needy – An Easy Way to Help

If you are cleaning out closets during the winter break, consider donating winter gear to the needy. I was at Burlington Coat Factory recently and they had a collection box right at the front door.

Here in Southern California, our homeless camps seem to be growing by the day and our weather has turned cold. If you have unwanted coats or some winter gear that the kids may have outgrown, you can be a blessing to someone by donating them.

Now through January 23rd at Burlington Coat Factory’s “Warm Coats, Warm Hearts” you can get a discount on your whole purchase if you donate one jacket to this great cause.

If there is not a Burlington Coat factory nearby (see the store locator) here are a few places I found that are also helping the needy find winter gear: One Warm Coat, Hats 4 The Homeless, Scarves With a Purpose, and Samaritan’s Purse.

Do you know of other places where you can donate your winter gear to the needy?
