Here is an easy weekend meal for you and the kids. Plus, it’s another great use for your waffle iron!
Hamburger Bacon Cheeseburger Fritters
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 box Hamburger Helper® Bacon Cheeseburger
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- shredded cheddar cheese
- your favorite burger condiments and toppings
- waffle iron
Instructions:
Brown the ground beef in a medium skillet. After the beef is browned, I like to drain and rinse mine before proceeding with the Hamburger Helper® Bacon Cheeseburger recipe instructions.
After the beef is drained add the water, sauce packet, and pasta and cook according to package instructions.
When the pasta has finished cooking transfer to a covered dish and refrigerate allowing it to cool completely.
After the pasta is cool heat your waffle iron on medium high and coat with olive oil.
Place a generous amount of the mixture into the waffle iron.
Close the waffle iron and cook until the mixture takes on a waffle-like look and is golden brown.
Remove from the waffle iron, cut into wedges and serve with our favorite condiments and toppings. We like mustard, ketchup, mayo, onion, lettuce, and diced tomatoes.
My waffle iron gets a good workout on the weekend!
